Spring Break, day 5

Today the kids and I went to the "new and improved" Living Aquarium. It was actually mostly hellish - and I'm too exasperated to write about how that place shouldn't be open yet - but had some bright parts. We especially loved seeing the sharks and the penguins, and crossing the rope bridge was quite an adventure. We met Grandma Gail, Brandy and Lydia for lunch afterwards...which also was hellish, but at that point I was so defeated I was just laughing. Definitely a memorable way to end our spring break. We're ready for a weekend with Daddy's help, and then to get back into our routine on Monday!

Spring Break, day 4

Today we took a trip to the Dinosaur Park. The kids love that place! We each took a little field guide with us through the park. We had to find the five dinosaurs listed and write down answers to questions in the field guide. I did most of the writing (Olive did a lot of her own), but it made for good discussion. The kids have gotten pretty good at knowing whether a dinosaur is a carnivore or herbivore just by looking at it. Their favorite part of the park is the playground, so we spent a long time playing. Penelope was especially fun to watch and play with.

After we left, we drove to the school so I could show the kids where Olive will go to kindergarten next year. She was beyond excited to see it and talk about it. She is so ready! Not sure if I am!

George called him a dinosaur bear.
