Sweet Sunday

Here's a bunch of pictures from our lovely Sunday.

Tonight at the Eaton dinner, Jenny taught a lesson on how we are Jesus' hands. She had all the kids trace their hands and write a way that they will serve others. It was a sweet, spirit-filled activity. The adults got to have a good gospel-centered chat as well.

We had a great day.

Church changes

Chris conducted sacrament meeting for the first time today. We have giggled at how awkward it was for him. He's wonderful, though, and he'll grow into it. Meanwhile, I got released from Young Women (sad, relieved, happy), and am now a Gospel Doctrine teacher (hooray!) Change is good.

Chris is the 2nd Counselor in the Bishopric

It's exciting and daunting and I saw it coming a mile away. He's wonderful, and he'll do awesome. I hope I can, too.

New church classes!

The kids had an activity this morning where they got to meet their new teachers at church. Georgey is moving up from Nursery to Primary, and his teachers are Brother and Sister North. Olive and Lucy are in the same class because our Primary is small, and their teachers are Brother and Sister Watkins. Penelope will bring up the rear with our last of 5 consecutive years of Nursery.

kids' new year's eve countdown

Here's a link to the video of the kids' countdown: http://instagram.com/p/xUakBuhJiO/

new year's eve

We started out with dinner at the Hamblins'. The kids made party hats...

...and put pennies on the front porch for Baby New Year to come touch...

...and had their own countdown at 7:00.

Then we put the kids to bed and got to work on our puzzle...

...and Chris lit some fireworks...

...and Ike and I kissed at midnight.

Happy 2015!!
