Spring Break, day 1

Today was the first day of a week off of school for the girls. For starters, we went to the Hogle Zoo. It was cold and residually snowy, but we had a great time. Olive said her favorite part was the leopard and the sea lions. Lucy said her favorite part was the tigers (although, we didn't see tigers today...) And George loved the "drillas" (gorillas).

This Is The Place Heritage Park is right across the street from the zoo. So, we drove around it a little. I got Chris on the phone, and the two of us explained why it's such an important place for our church. The kids asked questions and we had a good little discussion. Lucy said she would have her wedding party there.

After that we had lunch at McDonald's, and then went to see Grandma and Laurie and David at their office. The kids had a great time playing in the playroom and helping out around the office. Chris met up with us there, and then we all went to The Legacy Center with Grandma and walked around the track for a little exercise. And then we got to go to Luke and Layla's birthday dinner at a pizza place. The kids got to play with almost all their local cousins, and they loved every minute of it. When we finally got home, everyone hit their pillows pretty quickly. A long, fun day made for four very tired little babies. Love these kids. Tomorrow's another fun day!
